jennifer's sister is currently stationed in germany. she sent jakob a bag of assorted snack packs of gummi candies, this was one of the packs enclosed.

i didn't know whether to be amused, offended or feel sorry for the person who came up with the design. what's even worse is that the company decided it was good enough to release onto the market.

eh, whatever. i guess stereotypes will never die. at least the candy was tasty.

My So Called Art

this is probably my favorite piece. the bust was purchased at hobby lobby, the skull/heart was done with sculpty clay. i had the idea for this immediately when i saw the bust. i got it home, drew up the basic design and at first tried to paint it. my paints suck and wouldn't stick, especially considering i didn't want to take the time to prime it and do it the right way. after cleaning up the mess, i decided to try colored pencils. another wasted effort, i dunno why i even thought it might have worked. then i had the idea of using sculpty. at first i had it all laid out and separated by by color but decided it was too clean and decided to smear the clay.

the ragdoll was purchased at wal-mart, the skull was done with the crappy paints i mentioned earlier and touched up with a fine point pen. i think the doll was intended to be a graduation type gift before being bastardized by my hands.

the troll doll was found on the floor when i worked at hastings, the barbie head was either found in the yard or bought at goodwill. this piece came about through sheer boredom. i dunno why, i just decided to cut off the trolls face. after doing so, i noticed the hole was big enough to hold the head of barbie. the head stays in just fine, but i added the safety pins just for shits and giggles.

i had written up this long, drawn out, boring bio thing, but decided to streamline it.

- needs to exercise more, i'm totally out of shape
